I mean, how could somebody not find Eric Burdon very atractive??? in that time i mean. Ok i admit i'm starting to sound like a creeper now. Or worst, like a typical fan girl...no! let's be "professional".

Who am i kidding??? I can't decide, they're all great, its impossible to choose.

Just because he was the MOST HANDSOME rockstar in the 60's

I'm sorry but, of all rockstars i've always found Eric Burdon the cutest. Especially for the eyebrows (those eyebrows!) and his beautiful blue eyes. Ohh yes and i know is gonna sound weird but, his ears!!!!
Not to mention his wonderful bluesy voice.
I know is kinda superficial to look at this stuff when it comes to music, but i've never felt a physical obsession/atraction with any other musican (not even Dylan!) like Eric.
I'm sorry, i just need it to say it.
I mean COME ON, with that voice, and on top of that that face, this man HAD THE ALL PACKAGE, like my friend Nadia likes to call it.

By the way, this was 1965, before Alan Price (the keybordist) left the group and joined Dylan for his 65' England tour. If you want more info, you should look up for Don't Look Back by D.A. Pennebaker, one the the best rock films (along with Monterey Pop, by the same director) ever made. Just some hard to find, but definitely worth it. I think that "rockumentary" deserves a post for itself.

Yesterday's Gone Chad and Jeremy

Hace ya bastante tiempo, en uno de mis tantos otros viajes a "La rola record's" (una de las únicas dos tiendas de LPs en todo Tijuana, sin contar los sobre ruedas) vi un disco de Chad & Jeremy, pero no sé por qué demonios no lo compré. Es curioso pero nunca me ha pesado gastar dinero en música, a diferencia de con los libros. Por esta razón mi colección musical es más vasta que mi "biblioteca". De hecho, para alguien que estudia literatura es realmente patética. En ocasiones me siento culpable por eso. En fin, no sé qué haya pasado en esa ocasión pero me arrepiento mucho porque, como han de suponer, NUNCA he vuelto a ver ese LP, ni ahí ni en ningún otro lugar.
En cuanto al video, los que salen en las fotos NO son Chad & Jeremy, sino Peter and Gordon. No encuentro el motivo porque en internet hay bastantes fotos de ellos.
Por cierto, estoy haciendo mis prácticas profesionales como correctora de estilo en un periódico local (bastante político) lamado El Sol de Tijuana. Supongo que es un pequeño paso para llegar mi meta: la revista musical, aunque soy realista y estoy consciente que para que eso suceda tendría que irme al DF, donde están todas las revistas y editoriales. ¿Se acuerdan de la película Almost famous, el niño que trabaja como periodista musical para Rolling Stone y entrevista y hace crónicas sobre Stillwater? Bueno, mi sueño era ser ese niño. Supongo que todavía lo es. Pero algo es algo, por ahora.
